Livestock like this pig remained on the Sunny Hills farm as of April 10 after live classroom instruction ended nearly a month before because of the coronavirus pandemic. Ag students were coming to the farm one at a time to take care of their animals to prep them for the Orange County Fair, which was eventually canceled because of COVID-19 health and safety concerns. Sunny Hills, along with all public and private high schools, will for the first time in state history be closed as distance learning 2.0 begins. California Gov. Gavin Newsom earlier this summer had mandated that schools in counties with high COVID-19 cases remain closed.
