Brianna Zafra has spent her junior year as one of The Accolade's photographers and plans on maintaining her role in the workings of The Accolade. This 2020-2021 school year, she will return to The Accolade staff as an assistant photo editor. When she’s not taking photos for The Accolade, she can be found amongst many school clubs or taking pictures with/of her friends during spontaneous photoshoots.

The revised state social distancing guideline from six to three feet has brought back a sense of normalcy for students who have chosen to come to campus for live instruction four days a week except on Wednesdays. Many are gathering in small groups like this on Tuesday, May 4, during break. Masks, however, are still required, though not while students are eating or drinking a beverage.

Since the start of the spring semester Jan. 4, the Sunny Hills hallways remain vacant as students have returned to distance learning like the beginning of the fall semester Aug. 11. Fullerton Joint Union High School District trustees agreed during a Jan. 12 board meeting to wait until the end of the month to decide whether Orange County’s positive COVID-19 numbers have dipped enough to reopen campuses for the first time in 2021.
