CJ D’Innocente is joining The Accolade this year. He teaches 10th grade English at Sunny Hills in addition to advising the award-winning Journalism program. While it is his first year at Sunny Hills, he hopes to continue the long-lasting tradition of journalistic excellence.   

In his college years, he was a staff writer for Arizona Sonora News, El Independiente, and the Arizona Daily Star during his time in Tucson at the University of Arizona. After finishing and earning his undergraduate degree, D’Innocente pursued an English teaching credential at CSU Long Beach. Prior to joining the team at Sunny Hills, he taught English at Godinez Fundamental High School in Santa Ana for three years and advised the Newspaper Club there.
