About the Contributors
Pricilla Escobedo, Data Team Leader
Senior Pricilla Escobedo spent her previous years as a staff writer for The Accolade. This year, Escobedo returns as the data team leader and continues to work on improving her skills to finish the year strong. During her time at The Accolade, she has written multiple award-winning articles.
Outside of The Accolade, Escobedo is a proud Advancement Via Individual Determination ambassador, National Association of High School Scholars member, Link Crew Leader and cabinet member of numerous clubs. She plans to enjoy her last year by attending school events and dancing the night away at prom.
Dareen Hagekhalil, Staff Reporter
After taking the Journalism 1 course during her junior year, senior Dareen Hagekhalil joins The Accolade as a staff reporter. She hopes to improve her writing and social skills by working with the award-winning team. Previously as a cub reporter, Hagekhalil loved expressing her thoughts on important social issues through opinion pieces and plans to continue expanding on these ideas this year.
In her spare time, Hagekhalil can be seen watching sports, napping, talking politics or binging a new TV show.
