About the Contributor
Iris Kim, Online Graphics Editor
Senior Iris Kim spent her sophomore and junior years serving The Accolade as an illustrator. She returns this year as the online graphics editor and looks forward to simultaneously guiding her fellow illustrators and learning more about the wonders of graphic editing. Outside of The Accolade, Kim graduated from California Summer School for the Arts and is a former recipient of the title of “California Arts Scholar,” one of the highest distinctions in California for artistically talented individuals.
Additionally, Kim is a National Honors Society member, president of the National German Honors Society, volunteers at the La Habra Children’s Museum, president of the Brea branch of the Future Young Leaders of America volunteer group, cabinet of multiple school clubs and more. Kim hopes to see The Accolade expand more of its editorial art and illustrations and facilitate greater opportunities and experiences for visual journalists.
