Although St. Patrick’s Day has passed, and Americans are living under the coronvirus threat, it doesn’t mean you cannot enjoy the latest offering from McDonald’s.

To celebrate the 50th birthday of the Shamrock Shake, a seasonal minty vanilla ice cream milkshake, the golden arches chain offers a new Oreo Shamrock McFlurry available in two sizes: regular ($3.11) and snack-size ($2.56).

The classic Oreo McFlurry combines vanilla soft serve with cookies and cream. However, this new version combines the same mint-flavored shamrock syrup used in the original shake with the classic McFlurry.

Although at first glance, the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry does not look appetizing — with a murky mint green syrup floating above the Oreo ice cream mixture — a quick stir and bite will completely change consumers’ minds.

Unlike the classic Shamrock Shake, the mint flavor of the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry is not as strong because of the Oreo cookie mix-in, but this does not take away from the overall “shamrock” experience.

The chocolate Oreo texture adds a crunch that perfectly compliments the minty flavor of the syrup, creating an addicting delicacy that draws consumers in for more.

Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the chain will continue to offer the shake and McFlurry for take-out orders only — available until March 30.
