About the Contributors

Aashna Dialani, Web Editor-in-Chief
Entering her third and final year on staff, senior Aashna Dialani eagerly takes her position as The Accolade’s web editor-in-chief. Striving to preserve the publication’s reigning legacy and reputation, Dialani is determined to put her best foot forward, emphasizing consistency and quality in all online articles. As the co-Opinion editor in her junior year, the section still remains close to her heart, so she looks forward to publishing impactful staff editorials and continuous Spitfires between the new generation of Opinion editors. A big sports enthusiast herself, she hopes to expand the section, allowing it to additionally encompass aspects of mainstream athletics that occur away from school.
Outside of The Accolade, Dialani can be found cafe hopping with her friends, making chai in the comfort of her kitchen or watching basketball with her little sister. She also enjoys listening to jazz music with her grandparents and spending quality time with family and friends.

Seowon Han, Web Editor-in-Chief
For her third and final year on staff, senior Seowon Han returns excitedly to oversee The Accolade‘s website as the web editor-in-chief. Serving as a Spotlight editor and business manager her junior year, Han experienced writing for every section and covered a range of topics while bringing an engaging voice. This year, she looks forward to enhancing the Accolade website through its new Korean-language section titled “한국어” to spotlight more perspectives on Korean culture and experiences and include a large population on the Sunny Hills campus in the publication. On top of this, the web editor-in-chief aims to provide frequent updates with various content, include more interactive multimedia elements and continue taking photos to showcase on the website.
Outside of The Accolade, Han enjoys staying involved around the campus through several clubs as a president and cabinet member. In her spare time, she takes pleasure in listening to music and playing her instrument.

Chloe Kang, Photo Editor
Junior Chloe Kang spent her sophomore year as a photographer for The Accolade. This year, she returns as the photo editor and is looking forward to working with new staff and her new opportunities. During her first year on staff as a sophomore, Kang placed second in the Orange County Journalism Education Association competition for photography.
Outside of The Accolade, Kang enjoys playing volleyball and drawing. This year, she hopes that students will spend more time appreciating the art done for The Accolade and wants to see more people taking an interest in the stories.
